Tree Health and Fertilization
First of all I DO NOT recommend fertilizing a tree during its first year of planting. Do Not do not use root growth stimulants the first year of planting. You will do more harm than good. Instead I recommend letting the tree heal it self. The best way to do that is to give it lots of water that is PH'ed up or down to mach the trees PH requirements. PH determines the solubility of nutrients in the soil. If the PH is correct, the tree will extract what it needs when it needs it on its own. To high PH nutrient uptake is seriously limited. To low PH to much nutrient and will poison the tree.
A PH of 5.5 to 6.5 is recommended for most plants.
Below is what I recommend as an arborist to my customers.
